How long have you been a friend of the New Gloucester Public Library?
It’s getting close to one year!
What's your earliest memory of a library?
Maybe not my earliest memory - but I used to go to the library every day in high school to do homework and I loved it. Our house was too rural to have Wi-Fi/fast internet; it's why I was able to do so well in school. I also loved reading, so it was a perfect and Zen place for me.
What genre or author do you reach for most often?
Fantasy or Romance
What book has had the biggest impact on you?
Speaker For The Dead (book 2 in the Enders Game Series)
What’s your favorite travel destination?
The Great Lakes; Michigan specifically. I like visiting family and exploring
What is your favorite thing to cook or bake?
Sourdough
What’s something unexpected you’ve discovered at the NGPL?
All the opportunity to connect with community and nature

Creaking floors
What is your favorite Friends event?
The Book and Bake Sales
Why did you decide to become a Friend?
I love libraries and the ability to learn. I also wanted to lend support when funding for libraries is challenging.
What's the best part of being a Friend?
Making bread for the bake sale was very fun!
What is your favorite volunteer opportunity as a Friend?
Baking
What would you tell someone thinking about becoming a Friend?
Even if you don't have much time to spare, donating a small annual fee to help the community is always a great option.
